Can I just say, dreaming up this milkshake was the best idea I’ve had yet this summer. Yesterday, the temperatures topped out at 96ºF with 89% humidity. It goes without saying that it felt way hotter than 96ºF. Thank God for central air!
An original recipe
1 cup skim milk
1 cup frozen strawberries (about 8-10)
1 tbsp ground flax seed meal
1/3 cup light whipped topping
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar or agave
Optional: chopped pecans
1. In a blender, add milk and frozen strawberries. Pulse until combined.
2. Add remaining ingredients and blend on high until mixed. You might need to stop the blender and stir with a spoon if it gets too thick. Please, make sure your blender is OFF!
3. Garnish with chopped pecans and enjoy!
