My first Green Monster. Hard to believe (or maybe not) it took me this long to experience one. My life is now complete.
My husband would say the Green Monster is an acquired taste but you should be the judge of that. Me, I’m just glad to have yet another smoothie to my growing collection.
Come here, little monster. Delicious, healthy and super green. I heart kale. Amen.
Green Monster Smoothie
An original recipe
3 cups packed kale, stems removed
1 large banana (preferably frozen and cut into small chunks)
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
Optional: 1-2 scoops protein powder, 1 tbsp maple syrup
1. Pour milk into blender first.
2. Add the kale and banana.
3. Blend on high until throughly mixed. The best part is watching it slowly turn green. Add optional ingredients if desired. For a thicker smoothie, add some ice cubes.
