Thoughts on Being Blessed + *GIVEAWAY! {Closed}*

{Congratulations, Aubrey Laine! You are the winner and will be contacted shortly via email.
Thanks to everyone else for playing along!}
Happy December!
It’s the craziest, busiest, funnest {yes, that is a word} time of the year. We have so much to be thankful for and during this Christmas season, it becomes even more evident just how blessed we really are! So take a moment and be thankful for your blessings. Go ahead. Do it.
Here are just a few of my blessings: my faith, good health, family, friends, freedom, our cats, shelter, food, and so much more. I think and read about all the hurting and suffering in this world and that really brings things into perspective, even on my worst days. So there you have it.
What are some things you’re thankful for?

Baking takes a forefront this month as well – cookies! breads! scones! cupcakes! cake! Right now in our kitchen, it’s the calm before the storm. This coming weekend I will be baking, experimenting and drowning in butter and sugar. It can’t get much better than that! As evidenced by my growing addiction extensive research on Pinterest, I think it’s safe to say that my eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach. At least there’s always next year to plan for and I will most definitely be well prepared.

One of my top favorite things about Christmas is to give. In the spirit of giving since it makes my heart go pitter patter {and because I love y’all!}, one of you have the chance to win a 1 year subscription to your choice of one of the following magazines {that’s a lot of ones}:

Better Homes and Gardens

Cooking Light

Some of my favorites include the above magazines as well as Food & Wine, Bon Appetit and Southern Living.

*Optional Entries: Follow Live Faithfully and leave a separate comment.
Tweet or blog about this giveaway and leave the link as a comment.

Okay, random. But wanted to share…

Okay, so I was looking for a different chicken recipe, because chicken is the meat we most often eat, we kinda get tired of eating it and I was looking for something new and different.

I made this recipe the other night for the hubbie and I. It was pretty good. Hubbie liked it, he made sure to tell me…. Worth making again, it's simple, but tasty. Quick to make too, and I know we are always trying to find things that are tasty, healthy, and time efficient. With a busy schedule, working full time, having time to work out, keep the casa in order, and prepare meals, this is a quick one to make. I substituted the white rice with brown rice, but if someone is trying to do low carb then just leave out the rice and add more low carb veggies, we tend to do that often as well.

    Just an idea…

I will have to say that I am a hard-copy magazine gal. I like to flip through magazines, highlight, and make notes sometimes right on the page. 🙂 I probably would have chosen the running magazine not too long ago, but God is showing me that there is more to life than running, so…..I think now I would choose, Real Simple. But I hope I do not win…..lol. I just wanted to comment. 🙂

Okay, so, I have had a few days to think about this. Please excuse me while I take a moment to be a little gushy…
I am extremely (beyond words can express) thankful for my husband, family (his family and mine), friends, and work (or being employed, for my husband and I). I am thankful for the time of my life that I am in right now. This time is very special for my husband and I because it is just the two of us, a lot of special “just the two of us” time that each day helps us grow a stronger marriage, and a healthy marriage (we hope, ha.ha.), that we will one day be able to share with our children (God- willing). Eventually (God-willing) there will be additions to our family and it will be a very long time before we have this time back, so I am very thankful for that. It is not always happy faces for us but, we are greatly blessed to have each other, have good relationships with our families, and be in this time of our life.

I love the Real Simple magazine! It's practically like reading a book. I love reading stuff on the internet, but a real copy of something will also be my favorite!
