**UPDATE: You have probably heard by now that Google Reader plans on shutting down as of July 1, 2013. No worries, though! There are quite a few different readers out there you can choose from, but I figured I would let you know that my blog is listed on Bloglovin’ if you already use that service. Here’s the direct link >>>> Follow my blog with Bloglovin. I’ve also added an icon on the left hand side of the blog page.
Hey y’all!! Happy Friday to you. I’m super excited today to share a few snippets of life around here lately. For those of you who follow me on instagram {@urbanwife}, some of these pictures are old news.
Today marks 8 months(!) of being pregnant and that means only 8 weeks(!) until my due date. Y’all, this really blows my mind. In a good way and also, I’ll be honest…it scares the living daylight out of me, too. I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that in 2-ish months, I will be a mom, that we will be parents. Surely, that will change once our baby arrives…right?
22 week belly, 10 weeks ago. That shirt most definitely does not fit me anymore.
I miss this view. Florida, there are no beaches like yours.
Banana bread muffins. I came across this recipe a while back and have made them several times since. My favorite adaptation to-date has been substituting almond flour for the flour, coconut oil for the butter, and coconut sugar for the sugar…making them extra moist and healthier!
My husband was surprised by this Valentine’s gift I made for him. (Thank you, Pinterest.) It was actually funny since we have never done anything for Valentine’s and when we were dating, he dubbed me the “anti-Valentine’s girl.”
Browned butter. Wow, I can’t believe it took me this long to try it but I made this recipe (for my husband’s office) and it smelled heavenly. It’s dangerous, so I’ve stopped buying butter. You think I’m kidding.
We’re still hiking pretty much every weekend and this might be one of my favorite spots, so far. It’s peaceful and gorgeous.
I would say this picture marked the end of my 2nd trimester boundless energy. I think I was around 27 weeks here.
Our cozy, albeit undecorated bedroom makes me smile. Warm, afternoon stripes are just lovely.
Tried these for the first time. Honestly? They were just okay. Too watery for my taste. I prefer my Greek yogurt (Fage) to be thicker and more filling.
Receiving this onesie from our friends seriously made my day week! They know me so well, seeing as I’m a die-hard fan. Football season this year is going to be so much more fun!
Another thoughtful and hilarious gift from the same friends! Short backstory: my husband’s nickname is Red Beard, hence the name on the bib. #likefatherlikeson (Except it would be a bit strange if he was actually born with a beard.)
Let me just say that it took a few trial runs in the comfort of our house before I ventured out in public with these bright, orange skinny jeans. Um, yea.
My mom made this amazing cake for my baby shower a few weeks ago. Just to clarify, our baby’s name is not Jordan. In fact, we don’t have a name picked out yet. #nopressure
Spring has arrived and it couldn’t be more gorgeous! Texas, you continue to surprise me.
And last but not least, working out is still going great and here’s my 32 week aka 8 month belly. (I’d also like to note that this outfit are my pre-pregnancy clothes. Should I be proud or embarrassed?)
That’s all for now! You can always follow me on instagram @urbanwife to see what’s happening.
Cheers to the soon to be journey of becoming a parent. Life will never be the same again. It will be an awesome journey.
Go Gators!

Oh my goodness, you are SO FRICKIN' ADORABLE! I love the Baby Beard bib, seems like both onesies are from M&J. Also, why is your cake baby orange? Your mom did a great job with it, and I'm sure it was delish. xoxo, your BFF 🙂
