I’ve written a few times about how I’m into triathlons. There are also a multitude of other sports and active hobbies which I really enjoy such as kayaking, hiking, kickball, rock climbing and the list goes on. Also, I wrote about how running gives me a solid foundation to build upon so that I can partake of other sports effectively and more easily.
One reason I love about running was how it opened up an entire world of other sports. If you really think about it, running is an essential part of many sports. The fact that I could go play soccer or kickball on a whim really makes running an important thing in my life. I suppose it also goes together with the fact that since I’m competitive, I like to make sure that I’m doing my very best at whatever sport I’m playing.
Running gives me an edge when participating in other sports and really, it makes it more fun because I know that if I can run, I can pretty much not worry about having to turn down any opportunities to go kayaking or play kickball. Awesome, right?!
This is why I run.
