weekend reading 7.0

I’m stopping in reeeally late today with a few fun links I came across this week. It’s been the kind of week where our kids seem to be allergic to sleeping except for one 30 minute stretch of double-nap utopia yesterday. Sooooo, now you know. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and if you’re exhausted? Take a nap for me, please.

Loved this honest post on the power of words and self-talk. We all have a word(s), right?

It’s officially autumn (two days ago) and even though it’s still hot here in Texas, I’m planning my fall/winter capsule wardrobe. This fall capsule by Ashlee gave me some much needed inspiration for my sleep deprived brain! (p.s. I’ll be blogging more soon-ish on my capsule wardrobe happenings…you know, in my spare time.)

Sweet & salty roasted kalettes? Yes, please. I love finding new ways to eat veggies and will definitely be adding these over a runny egg for breakfast soon.

An absolutely refreshing & beautiful perspective on whether or not to ask other people about their family plans.

This was 100% me, during the first six months of our son’s life back in 2013. It’s only funny now because it was so true.

Confession: I never heard of kamut until I read this recipe and now I want to try it.

“Fight your natural tendency to believe that God does not have big dreams or good gifts for you, trust him to delight in you and want to be so, so good to you.” Laura always writes in such a way that I’m either deeply convicted or freshly encouraged.

Lately, I feel like I’m surrounded by so many friends/acquaintances that are expecting babies, whether it’s their first time or fourth. This helpful post on nourishing & healthy meals for families is definitely going to be a lifesaver for me, since I really don’t want to give someone lasagna for the 10th time.

Did you see I made a Facebook page for the blog? I know, I know. It’s only 2015 and someone (ahem, me) finally got with the program. I’ll try and post fun things on there, besides updating when there’s a new post here. If you get a chance to visit, pretty please give it a ‘Like’? You ARE the best.

Finally, if you missed the FlyJoy nutrition bars review AND giveaway from earlier this week, the giveaway closes this Sunday at midnight and it’s super easy to enter. GO!
