Jesus Inspires Me: children’s activity & coloring book

*Although I’m no longer blogging (read more here), this post was part of a prior commitment that was scheduled to publish today. Thanks for letting me share!

In just a few short days, my firstborn will be 3 years old. He has been here 156 weeks or 1,096 days or 26,304 hours. We seriously cannot believe how lucky we are to be his parents and have a front row seat to seeing him grow up!

I’ve mentioned this many times before and now that we have another toddler in the house, it stands out even more – our son truly loves reading books. Our daughter? Sadly she is really breaking my heart right now because she just isn’t into reading at all. I often question myself if it’s all those early months where I wasn’t dedicating hours a day on reading to her, like I was able to with our son. #secondchildproblems #momguilt

One thing our son has picked up more interest in the past few months is coloring and painting. Just this past week, we were home a lot because he was sick and consequently we spent a lot of time coloring and painting.

The Jesus Inspires Me activity & coloring book was the perfect thing to take out for him, once he grew tired of all his other coloring books! The very first thing he wanted to do once he recognized the books that this book is based off of, was to go find those books and place them right next to him while coloring.

As you can see, I took a couple of detailed pictures from the front and back cover of the Jesus Inspires Me activity & coloring book, just so you can see all the good stuff that’s inside.

Just like with the books, the artwork is top notch. I’ve actually colored one of two pages myself because they are so adorable that I’m thinking about framing them and hanging as a sweet reminder in the kids’ rooms.

I mean, seriously look at this Bible verse below. The little raccoon peeking out of the ‘O’ really grabbed my heartstrings.

Though the Jesus Inspires Me activity & coloring book is technically meant for ages 4 & up, I’m glad that our son is able to use a lot of the pages as well. There are pages like this dot-to-dot below, which he currently isn’t interested (or able to do) in but it’s nice knowing that in the future he will get use of out it.

Oh, and the blank pages! These are fun because as you might know, toddlers love making a messy piece of artwork when coloring and what’s better than a blank page for that, right?! You should see these pages now…they’ve definitely been doodled and painted on.

Here are a few more pictures of the inside.

Overall, we are super pleased with the Jesus Inspires Me activity & coloring book. The quality of the book is great, the pages inside provide hours of coloring entertainment, and most importantly, the Bible verses and teachings presented in a fun format that is perfect for teaching our children more about Jesus.

Jesus Inspires Me will be available for purchase on May 2, 2016 (that’s today!) through AmazonBarnes & Noble, and IndieBound. If you’re interested in reading more about the author Callie Grant, you can find her bio here.

Thank you for reading along!
